What are the symptoms of a book hoarder? According to the Japanese word tsundoku, which is a special word for book hoarders, hoarders buy books without reading them and have them lying everywhere. I’m definitely a book hoarder, but I’m not sure if I’m a tsundoku. I do occasionally buy books without having the intention of ever reading them from start to finish (latest example: The World of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin). However, I do try to read most of the books I buy, but I guess I should just accept that, yes, I am a book hoarder. But it brings many additional problems with it as well.
